The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer development program offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and improve the quality of life through horticultural projects in Galveston County.

The Galveston County Master Gardener Program classes are conducted on an annual basis beginning in early February, lasting approximately ten weeks. The majority of classes will be conducted on  Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

During the course of the year, we collect names and contact information of those individuals who are interested in the next Master Gardener training course. Once the application materials are finalized the packets are made available to these individuals. Each packet contains the official application, a list of Frequently Asked Questions and Answers about the program, and a tentative class schedule (class dates are fixed but dates for speakers are subject to change).

If you would like to receive information about the next training class, please send an email with your name, address and phone number in the body of the email. You will receive an acknowledgement email. When the application becomes available it may be downloaded, printed out and filled in. At which time you can submit your application by postal mail or in person. Meanwhile, you may consider reading through the information provided in the links below.
